About Sukh Folk
Sukh Folk travels the subcontinent by region: harvest and wedding songs, boat songs, ballads and the field recordings behind them. Its online stream from Melbourne is starting soon.
About this station (planned)
Regional folk from across the subcontinent, region by region.
A morning may sit in the wheat belt with dhol and tumbi, an afternoon move to river country and boat songs, an evening to desert ballads carried by a bowed string. Harvest songs, wedding songs, work songs and laments, in the dialects they were sung in.
